Privacy Policy

Effective 25 April 2026. Last updated 25 April 2026.

The short version

  • Your financial data never leaves your device. It is stored locally in your browser and is not transmitted to us or anyone else.
  • We collect anonymous product analytics to understand how Finora is used. No financial data is included.
  • Feedback you submit is sent to our internal Slack. It is not linked to any identity.

1. Your financial data

Your financial data stays on your device.

All simulation inputs - income, CPF, property, expenses, insurance, and any other numbers you enter - are stored exclusively in your browser's local storage. This data is never transmitted to Finora's servers, never sent to third parties, and is not accessible to us in any form.

If you clear your browser data or switch to a different device or browser, your scenarios will not be recoverable. There is no account system and no cloud backup. This is a deliberate design choice - it means we are structurally unable to access your financial information.

2. Product analytics

Finora uses PostHog to collect anonymous product analytics. This helps us understand which features are used, where users encounter friction, and how to improve the product.

PostHog captures events such as page views, feature interactions, and general usage patterns. It does not receive any financial data you enter into the simulator. Sessions are anonymous - we do not link analytics events to any individual identity.

PostHog may collect standard browser metadata including your browser type, operating system, approximate location derived from your IP address, and the referring URL. PostHog's own privacy policy is available at posthog.com/privacy.

3. Feedback and issue reports

When you submit feedback or report an issue through Finora, the content of your message is sent to our internal Slack workspace via a webhook. This submission is not linked to any user account, email address, or identity - we receive only what you type.

Please do not include personal financial details in feedback submissions. While we do not solicit this information, if you include it, it will appear in our internal Slack channel. We do not share this content with third parties.

4. Hosting and server logs

Finora is hosted on Fly.io. When you access Finora, Fly.io's infrastructure processes standard web requests and may retain server logs that include your IP address, request timestamps, and browser metadata. This is standard infrastructure behaviour governed by Fly.io's privacy policy. Finora does not access or process these logs for analytics or profiling purposes.

5. Your rights

Because Finora does not collect or store personally identifiable information, there is no personal data held by us to access, correct, or delete. Your financial simulation data exists only on your device and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings.

If you have submitted feedback and wish to discuss it, you can reach us at the address below.

6. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to how data is handled - for example, introducing user accounts or server-side storage - we will update this page and revise the effective date before those changes take effect. We will not introduce data collection practices that contradict the commitments above without clear notice.
